Need to Know (FAQ)

Our open 24/7 pick-up and drop-off location is located at Ringveien 13, 9018 Tromsø, Norway. We use secure key lockboxes, allowing you to collect and return your van at your own pace.

How to get here:

  • From Tromsø Airport (TOS): You can easily reach us by taking city bus number 42 or a short taxi ride.
  • Public Transport: To plan your route via bus, train, or ferry anywhere in Norway, we recommend using the travel planner at Entur.no.

Absolutely! Tromsø is perfect gateway to the northernmost regions of Norway, and we have two great, ready-made road trip itineraries to choose from depending on your travel goals:

From Tromsø to the North Cape: Perfect for bucket-list chasers. This epic route takes you past dramatic fjords, through the historic town of Alta, and all the way to the iconic globe monument at the North Cape, the northernmost point of continental Europe.

From Tromsø to Senja and Andøya: Ideal for those seeking dramatic landscapes with fewer crowds. This itinerary guides you through Senja, Norway’s second-largest island, famous for its razor-sharp mountain peaks and white-sand beaches. From Senja, catch the summer ferry to Andenes, the whale-watching capital of Andøya. Conclude your loop by journeying back through the rugged Troms inland, tracking pristine fjords and alpine valleys right back to Tromsø.

Oh yes! Tromsø is one of the best places in the world for this.

  • In the Summer (late May to late July): You will experience 24 hours of daylight. Your custom campervan comes equipped with high-quality blackout blinds so you can park under the Midnight Sun and still get a great night’s sleep.
  • In the Autumn (late August through September): The days are still long, but the darkening nights mean the region quickly becomes a prime Northern Lights viewing zone, giving you a great chance to spot the aurora.

Yes, you can certainly do it, but it is a bit of a journey! Driving from Tromsø to the heart of the Lofoten Islands takes roughly 6 to 7 hours (around 420 km) without stopping.

If your primary goal is to explore Lofoten, we recommend starting your trip closer to the islands instead. You can choose between our two other pickup points:

  • Harstad/Narvik Airport (Evenes): Evenes is the geographical gateway to Lofoten. From our pickup point there, you can drive onto the archipelago and reach Svolvær in under 2.5 hours. It is also where our main office and largest fleet are located.
  • Leknes Airport (LKN): Want to skip the long drive entirely (or arrive by ferry from Bodø)? We also offer a pickup point at Leknes, which sits directly in the center of the Lofoten Islands. Flying straight into Leknes puts you instantly on the doorstep of the most iconic white-sand beaches and dramatic mountain peaks, maximizing your actual holiday time in the van!

We’re here to help! Most questions are covered in our extensive FAQ, but if you can’t find what you’re looking for, just call us or drop us a message through the contact page, or click the chat bubble at the bottom right to speak with us directly.
